Nah, just kidding of course! There's still plenty of great music around. Coming out hot on Deepology label - Shiprinski - Midnight Plaza EP. Stas Shiprinsky was born in the wonderful southern town of Odessa and you know, no big surprises here, went to a DJ school but then gave it up to produce his own house stuff. Nowadays his influences are deep house and lounge. This EP is about distinctive kickdrums and solid groves wrapped up in delayed sounds, pieces of vocal samples... not much of melodies here in common sense of it but more of rhythm and mood. Techy deep-house with a light touch of minimal. Don't forget to shake your head to it.

Liminal is beauty, drives along and its all in the movement of the sounds. I like this and will be playing it. Midnight Plaza has a nice groove to it and i like its interesting rhythms, i will use this one. Monochrome Day nice deep moody vibe to this one, very late night stuff, i will probably use this one too.

"Liminal (Secrets)" has an aptly mysterious feel. The heavily reverbed vocal sample is quite effective. This is my favorite. "Monochrome Day" is good as well . It's got a bit of motion in the rhythms and I like the chords.
