In Love with Deepology

Deepology pres. Deep In The City: Moscow

Deep in the City is a new series of compilations from the Moscow’s Deepology Digital label. Through these series we attempt to discover the character depths of the principal locations of the Earth – the cities which live and pulse in their own unique ways. The opening compilation is devoted to Moscow, the city where our label lives, creates and studies the world around it. Check out the previews and mini-site dedicated to the series.

Shiprinski - Epilogue EP [DD037]
release date: 17 August 2009

Dear friends! We have gathered you here today to reveal some truth. Well what do you know, we are all friends here and we should be honest with each other. So, all this time we have been building a strong worldwide network relationship so that we could use it for our filthy purposes and now is the time! Actually we have a box of pills to be delivered to Nicaragua, if you have friends there, please let us know. And another thing, all our releases have neuro-codes embedded in, so when the army of Deepology branded monkeys with flamethrowers will ravage all over the planet - don't be surprised no one is resisting them. Remember, we warned ya, but please do play our productions as much as possible, we really appreciate that.

Meanwhile, not to blow our usual cover we're sending you out to enjoy a lovely package from Mr Shiprinski - the Epilogue EP being his second EP here and our 37th release. The EP is made of 3 artist originals which are a modern minimal-ish interpretation of deep house, ranging from more traditional groovy house vibes to somewhat abstract and spacey moods. Quite a nice quality upgrade in the guys production.

This tracks are very interesting... reminds me a bit of Swayzak. Very useful thanks!
Ronan Portela (Unlock Recordings)

Very cool stuff ! My pick here is catwalk fever! Great for opening sets!
Juan Mejia (Dutchie / Grouper)

Great ep, again deepology digs deeper. All three tracks are stunning.
Matthias Vogt (Saw Recordings, Motorcitysoul, Cocoon, Frankfurt)

Good release guys ! I dig all tracks !
Florian Kruse (Om Records, Dieb Audio)

Nice EP man. Good balance between deep house and minimal
Edwin James // Corrugated Tunnel (Night Vision/UrbanTorque/Dance Electric)

Definitely an intellectual recording from Deepology - my sincere compliments. Catwalk Fever - for me from this pack.
Fabien Kamb

Man this is deep. Quality package. All 3 mixes are ace. Full support from me
Darran Nugent (Aruba, Elevation)

I really like this one. Catwalk Fever is my favourite, nice moody stabs and danceable groove make this one very playable. The other two tracks have a more abstract feel to them but both are well handled and still very listenable. Good work!
Ross Couch

It's all about Catwalk Fever on this EP for me: driving, deep, slightly techy and with a great bassline. Very nice indeed!
Strakes (Lost My Dog)

Good deep stuff ! Liking "Epilogue" a lot, will play.
Nacho Marco (Loudeast)

Wow. This must be the best Deepology release to date. All tunes are great; warm, deep, rolling and organic. Reminds me a little of some classic Perlon stuff, reminscent of Akufen, Swayzak etc. Solid, proper stuff. Thanks for sending thru.
